Today I took the Metra so I could go home for the weekend and see my family. There was a young woman with blonde hair who sat on other side of the compartment. She had on a white shirt, a black business jacket, dark denim jeans, a red rayon scarf, and beige pointed heels. She had a Bluetooth head set on and she was talking to someone about the things she needed to get done before the end of next week and the things she accomplished earlier that day. Throughout the phone conversation, she was making “to do lists” in her PDA.
Her name is Aubrey Lehman and she is a broadcaster for E! News. She is twenty five years old and has a Masters Degree in public relations and broadcast journalism from New York University. She moved to Chicago with her boyfriend a couple years ago and right now they live in a two bedroom and a one and a half bathroom condo on North Michigan Avenue. Their apartment also includes an office, a kitchen, and a living room. Her boyfriend is a professional sports journalist and he has written for various magazines like Sports Illustrated and also in sport sections in newspapers such as New York Times, Chicago Journal, Tribune, USA, and Chronicle. She and her boyfriend have been together for four years but even though they love each other they are not planning on having any kids any time soon because they are just too busy with their careers. In her free time Aubrey enjoys reading novels by Stephen King but her favorite past time is going to a spa and getting a massage.
She was on her way to the suburbs to see her parents and younger sister who is a freshman in high school and is experiencing homecoming week. Aubrey is so busy with her job she rarely spares enough time to make it out to her hometown, Joliet, so she made sure she was available for her sister’s first high school dance. She just hopes that her two puppies, a Pomeranian, and a Papillon, Achilles and Lexxi, don’t get too lonely for the next couple of days without her.
