As President of the United States, my first change to this country would be to federally legalize the use of medical marijuana in every state. I think that this is an important change for the country because the federal government is raiding many state legal medical marijuana dispensaries. This is not fair to the dispensaries and it’s customer because they are not breaking the law in their state. Many people in states like California have been prescribed marijuana to help them with many different types of diseases. They go to legal dispensaries to pick up their legal prescriptions. All of these dispensaries make it clear that they sell the product of marijuana. They don’t try to hide the fact that they do. Then, the federal government, such as the DEA, comes to these stores and seizes all of the products. This results in the people not being able to receive their prescribed treatment. Occasionally people have rioted causing danger to the surrounding law enforcers. If there were no federal law, there would be no riot causing quarrels.
If I were President, I would change the federal law to make it so that the legalization of medical marijuana is left up to the states to decide. This way, there will be no conflict with the federal government and the marijuana dispensaries, and no body would get hurt.
